Week 9 Topic Choice

Week 9 Topic Choice

Q Your assignment for this week is to write a robust paragraph on your topic choice. This paragraph should indicate an informed decision about what you will pursue for your paper. As a result, it should go beyond simply listing a broad range of things you're interested in, or even a single broad area that you're interested in. This paragraph should have a defined subject matter that, in your best estimation, is appropriate for the five-page paper that you will ultimately produce. Your paragraph should receive a good grade if: 1. You paragraph exhibits a clearly delineated topic choice on your part. 2. You are able to demonstrate that there are reliable sources available on your topic. 3. You can present a credible rationale for the scope of topic in light of the page length requirements. Your paragraph will probably not receive a good grade if: 1. You don't deliver on the requirements above. 2. Your paragraph is too short to communicate the above to me. Shoot for at least a six-line paragraph. 3. You submit your paragraph late. Start now to avoid forgetting or running out of time. Pro tip: librarians are wonderful resources for this part of your project and are happy to assist you. They can help you find resources you would otherwise miss, and can also help you refine your scope to a manageable level based on the resources you find. This assignment contributes 5 points to your final paper grade. That's not a whole lot, but it's a great way to make sure you start out on the right foot!

Hinduism and Buddhism are similar in many ways. However, they are also different. This paper will explore the differences and similarities between the two religions. It will research the social, religious and practices that both religions live by. It will also give a brief history of how they started in India. Although Hinduism is older, they come from the same area of the world. My goal is to compare and contrast the two religions and decide if they are more alike than different.
